Imagine was started in 2016. It is a private English medium educational institution. In 2019-2020 academic year, 100 students are in pre-school to class 3. Every year, one new class is introduced. Our goal is to have elementary (pre-school to class 5), middle (classes 6-8) and high school (classes 9-12). Our institution is recognized by the education department of Odisha and to be affiliated with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in future.

Imagine School is located in Ambanali village of Balasore district(border region of Odisha and West Bengal states). Imagine School is 4 hours’ drive from Kolkata and 5 hours’ drive from Bhubaneswar. Both cities are serviced by national airports and train stations. There is also a train station at Jaleswar town about 30 minutes’ drive away through which major trains pass.

Imagine provides education for students aged 3 and above. Boarding in future is only available to students from grade 3 onwards, for which the student needs to be 8 years old by 31st April in the year of entry.

It varies, but it is usually between 10 and 20 students per class.

Imagine School currently has 100 students in total in Pre-school to Class 5. Every year, one new class is upgraded.

School hours are from 9.00am-2.30pm. Extra-curricular activities may take place before or after school and on the Saturdays. Imagine School timetable is structured around a 5-day cycle. There are no formal classes on Saturdays expect physical education.

Yes, Imagine School students do have a uniform and they need to follow a dress code and maintain cleanliness and high standard. Further information will be provided once the child has been accepted to Imagine.

Yes. All visitors must make a prior appointment with the admissions office and visit.

The school's travel office organizes to collect students from various villages within 50 km range and bring them to the school and drop off after the school hours. Imagine School has 4 school vehicles to fulfill students’ transportation needs.

Yes, Imagine School students have a number of opportunities to interact with students from other schools in and around. There are inter school sports, dramatics and other events held periodically in Imagine School.

The school year begins in middle of June and ends in mid-April. There is a Winter break from mid-December to early January. Please refer to the annual calendar for more details.

The main aim of the curriculum in Elementary School is to lay and build foundations in Literacy and Numeracy. The textbooks, trade books and other resources we use to cover the curriculum are chosen as part of the periodic review. At present we are using the CBSE curriculum. Students learn science, social studies, Hindi, computers, art, music and attend physical education classes. We also endeavor to create an appreciation for learning and good study habits amongst our students. It is our hope that our students are becoming responsible citizens.

Parents are able to access their child's academic progress from academic office.

English is the primary language. Hindi and Odiya are mandatory for all students through grade 5.

The school takes seriously its responsibility to safeguard the health of staff and students. The newly-refurbished Primary Health Center(PHC) at Hatigarh village which is 15minutes’ drive away, and provides more extensive medical facilities. Nurses from Hatigarh Primary Health Center visit the school health and provide vaccinations, teachings on health, hygiene.

The last date for making either online or sending the completed application materials to the Admissions Office is the 30th of June. If you do apply after the 30th of June, your application will be processed subject to availability of space in the grade you wish your child to be considered for.

An application is processed only when all of the required documents such as child birth certificate, Aadhar card and parent’s voter card (please refer to the complete checklist of documents).

Admission is granted to various grades depending on the availability of space within each grade in that particular year.

Imagine School is different than other schools in the region. We emphasize on creative learning through play, technology and creative demonstration of lessons.

Each class has an advisor/class teacher who guides them in selecting classes and whenever they have questions. Each of their class teachers is also available outside of the classroom for advice and to answer questions.

Imagine offers English Second Language classes in Elementary. The goal of the ESL department is to help students mainstream as quickly as possible.

Imagine has a Learning Resources department, providing support for students who have been assessed as having a learning disability. Support is given either within mainstream classes or students are withdrawn in specific content areas for one-on-one tutoring.

Imagine School has a strong student Grants or scholarship program. We want to ensure that students, who are well qualified, who could benefit from Imagine education and make a significant contribution to our community are not disadvantaged for reasons of finance. Imagine has a commitment to economic diversity among the student body. Imagine provides internet access to students from specific supervised locations within the school such as the computer labs and the school libraries. Internet access is provided primarily to support the educational objectives of the school but also to allow students to have controlled access to a broader range of features available on the internet.

Imagine has a long-established history with the local community and students are generally treated as part of Imagine. All entrances to school properties are controlled by campus security guards. Visitors are required to report in the front office desk. Imagine School campus, classrooms and public places are 24x7 monitored with CCTV.

This varies. While we have staff, who come for 1-2 years, we also have staff who have been at Imagine for more than 3-5 years.
